Without further adieu, here we go!
Do you prefer coffee or tea in the mornings?
Definitely coffee.
What book have you read over and over again?
I think I read Toni Morrison's BELOVED about three times. That was a pretty hot book when I was in college, and it seems like every literature class I took had it on its reading list. I didn't mind though; it's one of my all-time favorites. By the way, her other books are AMAZING, too.
What’s your favorite outdoor activity?
I'm not really an outdoor kinda girl, but I do love working in the my gardens (flower and vegetable). I also love to go fishing! Even if the fish aren't biting, I still find it very relaxing (as long as my kids aren't providing the soundtrack with their bickering . . .grrrr).
Do you cook and/or bake straight from the recipe, or do you get creative and throw things together in the kitchen?
I'm usually really anal when it comes to following a recipe; I rarely deviate from it. Sometimes I'll add a couple additional ingredients, but that's as "wild" as I get.
Where is your favorite place to visit in the United States?
I haven't been to many places in the U.S. (sad, but true). Out of the few places I have visited, I'd have to say my favorite was Key West. I loved the whole vibe of that place, and it's absolutely beautiful there.
Which animals must you see when visiting a zoo?
Oh geez . . . I don't know. The monkeys?
What’s your favorite television show airing today?
Modern Family. LOVE IT!
What’s your favorite television show of all time?
Another hard one. Umm . . . I'm not sure if I have just one. Some of my all-time favorites (past and present) are X-Files, Moonlight, American Dreams, Vampire Diaries, Revenge, Grimm, Friends, Big Bang Theory, The Walking Dead, The Tudors, pre-John Stamos ER, the first three seasons of Grey's Anatomy . . . I'm sure there are more . . .
What’s your favorite movie of all time?
My overall favorite is Titanic. It's the only movie I've ever gone to see THREE TIMES at the theater. The ending of that movie STILL gets me :o( I also have a special place in my heart for "A Christmas Story." It was the first movie I ever saw at the theater, and it reminds me of my childhood--no, I wasn't born in the '40's, but the movie was filmed in my hometown of Cleveland. I absolutely ADORE that movie :o)
What do you like to snack on when at the movie theater?
Snack? What's that? I never buy snacks at the theater--too darn expensive. Back before I was a frugal mom, I used to always buy a blue-raspberry slurpee.
Who is your current Hollywood or otherwise famous crush?
Hugh Jackman. Yes, he's hot, but he also seems like a really nice guy. He kind of reminds me of a pre-psycho Mel Gibson.
That's all there is! Now, I will tag the following
Marian Vere
Bethany
A. G. Howard
A.M. Supinger
Meredith Jaegar
Cherie
J. A. Bennett
Krista
Christine Murray
Jenny Phresh
Suzanne Payne
Since all of the above are writers, the first five questions will center around that, but the last six will be just for fun :o)
- What are you working on right now ?
- Do your stories tend to be plot driven or character driven?
- Name the craziest thing that has ever inspired you.
- Do you make up character names, or use the names of people you know?
- Do your main characters always have the same hair color as you (thanks Marian!)?
- Name a television show you watch that you consider a guilty pleasure.
- What's the first name of your first crush?
- What's the first concert you ever attended?
- Which would rather eat, pie or cake?
- When you were a kid, what did you always want to be when you grew up?
- What was the happiest day of your life (other than getting married/the birth of your children)?
Thanks for the tag! I love blog posts I don't have to think about! ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat answers too! Though I never got the popularity of 'A Christmas Story'. I think it was one of those things where I'd heard about how great it was so much before I saw it, that I expected something different. I'm a 'Christmas Vacation' kinda girl! :)
Ooooh, I love that one, too (the cat in the box scene is classic!). My entire family loves "A Christmas Story!" My brother and I will drive everyone crazy by reciting lines from the movie at Christmas. I even spent an obscene amount of money on a full-size leg lamp replica :o)
DeleteGood questions! I think I'll have to post this next week :) I'm a huge Hugh Jackman fan. So good looking, and he can sing and dace. My kind of guy. Also, have you watched Once Upon a Time? If you like Grimm and Vampire Diaries I think you would like it. (it's my favorite right now :)
ReplyDeleteYep, I watch Once Upon a Time, too! I wasn't that crazy about it at the beginning (too much back story), but I think it's REALLY starting to get good!!

Yay!! Finally, a meme the great Rookie approves of! Hehehe ;-) Looking forward to reading your answers--I know you won't disappoint ;o)
DeleteYes, I think the same thing, too :-) How awesome would it be to have a COMPATIBLE writing buddy in the same town (heck, I'd settle for the same state!)?? That would kick a$$!
Rookie would probably have Nigel cover this meme like last time. Heh! ;D Thanks for the tag!
ReplyDeleteNigel does love a good meme ;o)
